Tanque Verde Soccer Family,
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Tanque Verde Soccer Club is proud
to announce the TVSC Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign for 2012. Starting on
Monday, September 24 and running through October 31, 2012 TVSC will be raising
money to donate to breast cancer research. Methods for donating to the cause will be
available on the TVSC website at TanqueVerdeSoccer.com and the TVSC
Facebook page.
As part of this awareness campaign, all TVSC teams are being encouraged to purchase,
limited edition, Breast Cancer Awareness match t-shirts. The player t-shirts will include
player numbers and can be worn in place of the standard TVSC match jersey for some
games in October. Coaches and team managers are aware of the campaign and many
are already collecting orders for their teams. Teams have already indicated their intent
to wear TVSC limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness jerseys during such tournaments
as the Gilbert Arsenal Challenge, Randolph Socctoberfest and Ahwatukee Foothills Soccer
Fest, among others. The limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness jerseys will sell for $14
each, with 100% of the proceeds, $6 from each jersey, being donated, by Tanque Verde
Soccer Club, to The University of Arizona Cancer Center and being specifically earmarked
for the Women's Cancer Research Initiative and breast cancer research. The jerseys will
be ash grey with pink lettering.
Parents, Family, Friends and supporters can also get in on the act and purchase their
own TVSC Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts. So, all the TVSC faithful, both on and off
the pitch, can wear the grey and pink and help in the fight to find a cure.
